The program is easy to use and is self-explanatory in many ways, but this crib sheet serves as a reminder of all the available features and how I can easily enhance my porject with a few quick strokes. For example, instead of just simple text in the ebook I was writing, I decided to embed videos and lots of links because it was so darn easy and I didn't have to go look up the instructions.
I just glanced at my Cheet Sheet and pumped up my document. Post it on your wall at eye-level so you'll glance at it often and think of fun ways to enhance your docs. This is okay; but required a mid-level knowledge of One Note to really get the full benefit of the item. The mos of the "step by step" are practical, with down-to-earth example..

I am disappointed in this book as the book covers basic MS Office skills such as formatting, cut, copy, and pasting. If you have experience in using Office you wont learn much from this book. It does not really give any eye opening information about OneNote that you wouldn't easily have already done within another office application.
There is very little examples showing examples or situations where OneNote would be a powerful app to use. It is all basic skills aimed at someone who is not IT competent. I have only just started to use OneNote and to be honest, I have learned more from watching YouTube videos, than from reading this book.
I have used Step by Step guides before for MS Project and Visio and they were good, but sadly this is not worth the money unless you are actually a novice to using MS Office applications and you need guidance on how to cut copy and paste, or how to insert items or format pages. I enjoyed previous versions of this series which gave context to learning tasks this basically goes through each feature step by step in a rather dull way.
Nevertheless it is thorough for a beginner and has given me a decent amount of confidence to develop my skills. So dull, thorough but useful. Report abuse.
